Note formatting?

Howdy, brand new (enthusiastic) Tracks user here. Been at it for all of 2 days now and finally feel as if I’ve found “the one”. Kudos to all involved.

Is there some sort of “wiki-like” markup in use for Notes? I just added a note and managed to make my first line in a strikethrough format. My next note, I learned that “*” at the beginning of a line appears to disappear (a glance at source says that I created an unordered list).

Is there a page somewhere that would list what other formatting options are available?

Relative paths in server urls are handled correctly.

LDAP authenication in v1.7

Hi All,

Can anybody confirm that LDAP authentication works in v1.7 (current stable). If so can they provide some configuration information.
I have actually found it easier to write my own authentication function that try to work out what is going wrong with the simple_ldap_authenticator.

Hi,

I cannot seem to get the LDAP authentication to work with tracks. This is my Base DN that works in Redmine:


ou=People,dc=dept,dc=domain,dc=com

Can someone help me determine the correct login_format for Tracks?

password error/missing

I’ve restored tracks from a back up and can see all the correct gtd fields in phpmyadmin, but I can’t login using the web interface, is there any way of changing the password ( I may have just forgotten it )

I’m attempting to install Tracks on a Synology DS-207+.

Here are my version details:

I have run gem clean as well.

You’ll notice the mysql gem is missing. When I attempt to install the mysql gem, this is what I get:

I found online that this can be resolved by installing the mysql dev tools and using the option—with-mysql-config and pointing the to config location, but I don’t have an installation package for them and the install instructions didn’t say that the mysql gem was completely required.

So I’m pretty sure that either I’m missing some gems (other than the mysql gem) that are a pre-requisite for rake or…? The biggest problem is with rake and I’m unable to run the rake—prereqs command to see what the prerequisites are for it to run problem-free.

Even running “rake -v” in the tracks install directory gives the same error. I’ve navigated to the directory path listed in the error and find the following directories:
CHANGELOG README Rakefile generators init.rb lib tasks test

Under each one of the above, there is only a single 741 byte file called SYNO:Resource that seems pretty meaningless.

Here are my database.yml contents:

I’ve completed all other install instructions and have MySQL and phpmyadmin running fine with a blank tracks database ready to go, but I simply cannot complete this step. So any help would be very much appreciated! I’ve already spent more than a few sleepless nights on this and would really love to get tracks running at this point.

Creating new projects not possible in mobile view

There is no option/button/link to create new projects in the mobile view of tracks. Any reason for this?

Posting as I’ve just solved this on my box:

You may get a HTTP 503 (Service Temporarily Unavailable) response when starting the Tracks stack, though the launch page works fine.

If this happens, check your installed version of ImageMagick. I had an old copy of ImageMagick installed elsewhere, removing it did the trick.

Discovered this by poking around the mongrel.log file.

Action date input error using GTDIFY (Shuffle on Droid, but problem created on laptop)

Hi,

In a fairly new Shuffle (Droid) database, GTDIFY on laptop, doing the input on my laptop using Firefox 3.5.8. Under a project I create an action, and did not INITIALLY create a due date. Therefore I don’t know if this would have happened if I had created a due date on the initial Action creation. But, when I went back to EDIT the Project, then within the Project, edit the Action and create a due date, first the calendar popped up correctly and on today’s date. I clicked today’s date (3/4/2010) and it inserted 4/3/2010. I tried this repeatedly and got the same result. I removed the date, logged out and in, same result. Oddly enough, though when I put in 3/4/2010 and at that moment got 4/3/2010 in the field, when I did NOT correct it but went to another section of the program and came back, the date THEN displayed as 11/3/2010. Of course I checked my computer date and it correctly shows 3/4/2010. If it wouldn’t screw my life up, I guess a workaround would be to just schedule everything for 11/3/2010. Sure would give me more time to what? To Get Things Done! : )

Let me know if I can test something out, but very odd on this end.

Hi, I’m sure this is a very annoying question, but I’ve had a good look around and can’t figure out where to download the current build of v1.8 - is it available somewhere? Would be very grateful if so.

Also, is there any idea as to when 1.8 might be officially released? How’s development going?
