Not sure where to post this.

I found a site which has a Ruby library for talking to the Palm OS, and I just wanted to share it with those who might be able to do something with it. I’m trying to find a PHP version of this. I just don’t have time at the mo to learn Ruby… :-( or to decode the palm DAT files…
Palm Ruby Sync

I would love to have Tracks tie-in with the Palm. When I get a little time I want to try figure out some way of getting the RSS feeds as to-do items for my Palm, even if I have to manually sync the done items from the Palm to the desktop.

Here’s an extract from the READ ME:

“PalmSync” is a Ruby (Scripting Language) library for syncing your
PalmPilot with DBMS(MySQL and so on). You can also read/modify/create records
in your PalmPilot using Ruby script in PalmSync.
PalmSync package contains some Ruby scripts and Ruby extention library for
pilot-link.

And from the features…

You can synchronize your Palm’s databases such as Address, Datebook, Memo, Todo,
Expense, JFile, MicroMoney and so on.

Does anyone have a solution which is working for them at the moment?

regards,
Martin

I don’t think that I’d make this a part of core application, but with the improving Tracks API, it might be a good candidate for someone to write a script or something to provide some kind of Tracks to Palm sync.
