Without digging into the data model - is there an easy way to backup a user (with all their tasks—both new and completed) so if a user wanted to take it with them for a different installation of Tracks, they could do so?

I was thinking of setting up a Tracks server for some co-workers on my hosting service, but I wanted an easy way to export them if they ever wanted their data.  This would be better than giving them a copy of the entire DB since other users would be in there as well.

Also - it shouldn’t make a difference if the underlying DB is sqlite or mysql…I would assume.

Anyone with thoughts on doing this?

Thanks,
Henry

The next release will have an export feature (already in the development trunk), and hopefully an import feature, too!

Yes, import is certainly coming, once I’ve worked out how to do it safely!

I searched this forum, but maybe I’ve missed it—is there currently an easy method to backup tracks in v1.043? Or is backing up your db and remembering your salt sufficient?
