I have been running Tracks For quite awhile very happily except for one issue and I am not sure how to resolve it.
I have an project that will not go away after being completed and also will not delete or allow any editing of the project.
I did get into the DB and delete the project from the appropriate table but that caused more problems than it solved.
Any solutions will be greatly appreciated.

Tracks is running on Ubuntu Edgy Elf using MYSQL DB

Thanks

can you see errors or something on the console or in the log file (/path/to/tracks/log/production.log)

No, I have nothing in the production logs. But that is an entirely different issue now! If it isn’t one thing it is another as my sainted mother used to say!

Hmm, do you mean nothing at all or just no errors?

Are you running trunk or 1.041?

I have a link to server on my desktop I use if I need to. I do have other logs listed but after I started this I was looking and they are all blank.
I am totally baffled by that.

strange grin

Could you try to start tracks from a console to look for errors there

start terminal
cd /path/to/tracks
ruby script/server -e production

When I try starting from the terminal I get a message that the “Address is already in use”
I think I am going to tear it down and start from scratch… again. Damn !
Good thing I have the DB backed up.
I did find logs in development.log. I didn’t see anything in that when I started all this.

That message means that you have a copy or tracks running already

You can shut it down or start the new one using ruby script/server -e production -p 2000 which starts a copy of tracks port 2000.

The messages you saw in de log is probably from trying to start tracks.

Ok I have got Tracks running on port 2000 and I have attempted to delete, edit and mark as completed and received several messages. When I attempted to edit the project the screen popped an “application error (Rails) and that is right under where the context is displayed.
When I tryed to mark it as completed the server terminal window showed   Ip address   date     “POST /todo/toggle_check/6 HTTP/1.1” 200 60

http://tracks:2000/ -> /todo/toggle_check/6

And the project does not register as completed.
