I recently moved from version 1.043 downloaded from the website to using the curerent trunk from SVN (currently at Changeset 696). So far I love the new features and the new visual style but the performance is really bad for me, there’s a delay on just about any action I perform.

So I’m wondering if that is a known issue out there or are there settings in my environment I should be aware of? I changed rewrite rule in the public/.htaccess file from dispatch.cgi to dispatch.fcgi and that improved the performance significantly but it’s still much slower than version 1.043.

I’m on a shared hosting setup with Dreamhost, with a mysql database.

Any ideas? Are others seeing slowness?

There are other report of performance degradation too. Is it possible to be a bit more specific on where you experience performance loss? For example, my install is very slow on the Home page, but projects and context page are much better.
