I’m referring from this thread
http://www.rousette.org.uk/projects/forums/viewthread/219/

which is under Linux but its actually not a Linux problem.

Tracks has a very prominent export button but there is no way (AFAIK) to import that data back into tracks.
I used Tracks at Morphexchange first for testing it and after I found it very useful, I set it up on my own server. Now I can’t move the data short of retyping everything.

Thanks for some support

I have written very simple tool for importing/exporting data from one tracks server to the other one. It has its inconveniences (tags are not carried over), but it might work for some people. It is online tool, so no installation is needed, you have SQL script for your database within seconds.

Export/import tool is at http://www.kub.cz/tracks

I welcome any comments and suggestions, but I do not plan to work on the script too much. It was done for my own personal transfer and I just share it in hope that it can be useful for someone, without any ambitions.

Hi gorn, would you consider putting the source for this up somewhere, perhaps on GitHub or the wiki? I’d like to transfer some Tracks data from one db to another (sqlite to postgres, in this case) and it looks as though your code might make a good starting point - but it’s not on a public server.

Thanks,
Thomas.
