Ubuntu Dapper 6.06
Tracks 1.041
Ruby - not sure what ver (how can I tell?)
lighttpd
mysql

I can start Tracks, log in, then when I click on Create New Context - I get “Recognition failed for “/context_new”

Same thing for Create New Project - Recognition failed for “/project_new”

Being completely new to Ruby, Rails, and Tracks (but not Linux) - where should I be looking for a problem? I’m guessing it’s a lighttpd problem, like a 404 error? Not sure.

That sounds like a routing error to me, but I’m not sure why you’re experiencing it. You can find out the version of ruby by typing the following in a terminal:

ruby -v

If you’ve got Ruby 1.8.3, we might have found the problem!

Ruby 1.8.4

btw - I followed the install instructions from http://www.rubyrailways.com/getting-ruby-on-rails-up-and-running-on-ubuntu-dapper/

Additional info:
Tracks, lighttpd, ruby, mysql - all running on the same machine. I’m accessing Tracks from that same machine via Firefox 1.5.0.4 at http://0.0.0.0:3000/
