Hi, I was not sure where to go with this issue as I did not know what to do with it so I figured this troubleshooting forum was the best place to turn

I found a bug in the 1.7RC release and want to file a bug report.  From the main tracks website, I followed the link to the Assembla site where I created a new account.  When I clicked the link from the “new ticket” button, it just says that my account is not permitted.

Anyhow, if someone could point me in the right direction, I’d appreciate it.

I saved the bug info in a text file that I can submit if this can be straightened out.

You need to join the Tracks Space. Once you have logged in, you should be able to use the ‘Public | Join this space’ link which is in the header region on the right. For some people, this works fine, for others, it generates a blank page. If the latter happens to you, try clicking on another tab, then trying the link again. If that doesn’t work, just email or private message me with your username on Assembla, and I’ll add you to the team myself.

thanks.  I got it to work and submitted the bug.

FYI - I got many blank pages from the join space link after clicking on the several of the tabs.  It did work from the “team” tab…  I should be filing a bug report there too!

Thanks!

Thanks, that’s useful information. I’ll add it to the instructions. Could you let me know which browser you were using? Whenever I’ve tested (creating a dummy user and joining Tracks), it has worked fine. I’m using Safari 3.1.2 on Mac OS X 10.5.5.

originally I was using Firefox 3.0.5 on Ubuntu 8.10.  When I could not get that to work, I opened my Epiphany browser 2.24.1.  I have two version of Epiphany on my system and I chose the one that uses Webkit figuring the site might be having a problem with the gecko engine from Firefox.  Alas, it didn’t much difference.  I actually do not even remember which browser I got it to go on.

OK, thanks for that info. I’ve updated the information now, so I hope that it should be a bit more straightforward for people to follow it.
