#1 is what I clearly like best about tracks.  #2 and #3 are an improvement of that system.

1. Colored due dates – Colored due dates in gradience from red > dkorange > ltorange > green in color, at the top of every layout is the biggest reason to stay with Tracks. It would be nerve racking to ensure I had kept up with everything using Vitalist.  The date views just aren’t well developed there. Tracks give it to me on every page without an extra click.  I also think the tickler is a fantastic addition though it took some time to wrap my brain around it.

2. Calendar - I’d like to see tracks put all items with a due date in a separate double-calendar page where you could get a quick glance of the particularly pressing items for this month and next.

3. Morning Rush – I’d also like to see a simpler kind of color splash for the entire day, like a GREEN light/bar on every page that just jumps right at you telling you there is ‘nothing due today’.  The reverse would be that it simply turned to RED telling you that there WERE time sensitive items due today.  It’s that morning rush that is the biggest ‘fight’ of GTD for me and I think seeing that regular GREEN light/bar at least by the end of every day fits well within David’s framework for mentally giving yourself that regular ‘job well done’ cu do.
