I’ve found now that Google Chrome has the “Create application shortcut” option and FireFox has the extension Prism, i’m using web apps as if they were desktop apps. Things like Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs and WordPress all have offline options using Google Gears.

It would be perfect if Tracks had this too.

this is a know whish. There was even someone working one Google Gears integration, but I don’t see much progress currently. Perhaps there are people who could help.
