This is what I’m running:
Tracks 1.041
Windows XP Pro
Firefox 1.5.0.4
Ruby 1.8.2-15
XAMPP Lite 1.5.3a (includes Apache 2.2.2, mySQL 5.0.21)
mySQL 2.7.1 bindings for Ruby
After much troubleshooting I’ve finally got Tracks running as a webserver on my Windows XP Pro machine. However, it is very very slow. It takes about 15 seconds for each page in Tracks to load. It stalls at “Waiting for 127.0.0.1….“ I’m wondering if this is normal for other users or if I’ve misconfigured something and it’s sending my server in loops. If I misconfigured something I would expect it to not function at all. I tried installing the native mySQL bindings to try and “improve performance” as stated in the Tracks installation instructions, but there is no change. It is still slow. I’m wondering if I should try installing something like fastCGI to speed things up a bit, although I wouldn’t have the slightest clue of how to begin to do that. I’m not the most affluent web server afficionado. Just like tinkering.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
