What do people do with daily tasks that they have to do on a daily basis.

How are other people recording these in tracks.

Quite often the completion of my daily tasks need to be prioritised along with my other tasks.

any suggestions?

There has been some discussion about starring actions - would this solve your problem?

Really?  I thought the question was about recurring tasks, or things that can be completed for Monday and then pop back into incomplete for Tuesday.  I know you’re keeping the framework light, but so much stuff (from birthdays to groceries to just daily affirmations) requires this that it might be a serious consideration for new functionality.

Then again, my last experiment with GTD software (pyGTD) quickly became a maze of things that I was already doing daily / semiweekly / monthly and a ton of things that I wanted to be doing more frequently, but just wasn’t doing.  The non-recurring priorities sort of slipped from view.

Okay, having read a little more GTD and thought about the situation, I have moved my daily have-to-do stuff into my calendar, and am NOT going to try to commit it to the system.  It’s not strictly hard landscape stuff, but things like “weekly review” and “start the laundry” are, for now, tied to days and times.

It feels pretty good.  I still think there ought to be a recurring task in yr app (because I have to buy my brother a birthday card again next year, and it doesn’t rightly matter which day I do it, as long as it gets done that month).

Dan

yea, understand they are seperate requests (recurring items and starring items)  I would like them both.  I have done the same by moving some stuff to the calendar.  I use recurrance in Outlook but it’s not true to GTD b/c those things don’t need to be done that day, they should not be on my “hard-landscape” they should be in my system.
